Christmas Stroll - Meet at 5pm at Sawyer Park to board horse-drawn carriages for a ride through town as the Christmas lights come on and illuminate the Town buildings. The ride ends at the Kensington Church, where there will be a Living Nativity on the lawn, and warm cocoa and cookies inside. A great way to start this special season!

Christmas Giving Tree - The Giving Tree will be set up in time for the Stroll with tags for requested gift items for area families. You’re welcome to help us make a brighter holiday for some in our community by signing up to take a tag, and delivering your wrapped gift (with tag attached!) by Sunday, December 17th.

Nottingham Brass -  The Brass will join us once again on the First Sunday in Advent, December 3rd, as part of our regular 10AM Sunday morning worship service. Please join us for this annual treat as we welcome the beginning of the season.

Blue Christmas - You are invited to a Blue Christmas Service on December 10th at 2 pm at the Kensington Congregational Church.   This time of year can be difficult for people as you experience loss and/or grief.  If you are not caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season, you are welcome to come, light a candle and find comfort and peace.  Jesus was born - not in the inn that was full and brimming with partying, but in the quiet, dark stable.  Even if you love the hustle and bustle of the season, and are looking to get recharged and remember what the true meaning of Christmas is, you will find blessing and hope.

Gingerbread Houses - Join us at 2pm Sunday, December 17th, to make gingerbread houses for your holiday decorations!

Christmas Services - We will have a Christmas pageant during our  10am service on Sunday, December 24th,  followed by a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7pm in the evening.

Bible Study - Join us at 4pm at the Lockharts’ house as we study our way through the Bible.  This is an ongoing program, and we are presently looking at the book of Jeremiah. All are welcome.  Call Pastor Pam for more information.

Ham & Bean Suppers -  Our famous Ham & Bean Suppers are held the third Saturday of the month, September-November and January-June, from 5pm-6:45pm. (No supper in December!) Come and enjoy a home-cooked meal that includes sliced ham, kidney and pea beans, brown bread, rolls, potato salad, coleslaw, and for June, strawberry shortcake or brownie and ice cream. Your choice of coffee, tea or milk. Price is $10 for adults and $4 for children 6 and over. Children under 6 years are free. Check the calendar for the date of the next supper.

Soup Luncheon - We host a free soup luncheon the first Thursday of the month, October through June, at 12 noon in our lower level church vestry. There are 2-3 different kinds of soup, bread and crackers, and yummy desserts. Please join us for a nice meal and friendly conversation! You’re welcome to make a donation of canned goods to our food pantry if you wish.

Prayer Shawl - We gather as a group to knit and crochet shawls and lap robes for people in need of comfort, for healing, and for celebration. Meetings are held the second Monday each month, September through June, and are open to any who would like to join us. Bring your own yarn and pattern or use our traditional prayer shawl directions and choose from our yarn collection. We start at 7pm with a prayer and end at 8pm with a closing prayer.
