FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Kensington Congregational Church located?

The church is located at the intersection of NH Rte. 150 (Amesbury Rd.) and Osgood Rd., across from the Kensington Town Hall

You can find a map here.

When is the worship service?

Worship services are held every Sunday at 10AM in the church sanctuary.

Do I need to dress up to attend a service?

Our congregation is fairly casual, no need to dress up. People wear everything from Sunday best to jeans to business casual. Wear whatever feels comfortable and appropriate for you!

What about children?

A children’s time is observed when children are present, and they then have the opportunity to go down to our Sunday School area for a craft and lesson. We have removed pews at the back of the sanctuary to create a family area with a child-sized table and chairs, soft toys, and coloring materials for children who wish to stay with their parents during the service.

Where can I park?

Parking is available in the lot at the back of the church and also in the town lot across the street. The town parking lot is on the same level as the front doors to the church sanctuary.

What is a worship service like?

Our worship service is traditional, lasting about an hour. We sing hymns, read scripture, listen to a sermon based on the morning’s scripture lesson, and join together in prayer. Special music is presented by our choir. We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month as part of the service. A coffee hour usually follows the service in our downstairs fellowship hall, with light refreshments as well as beverages. To see before you visit, you can watch our worship service live every Sunday at 10AM on Zoom at: KCC Worship on Zoom

Am I welcome to take Communion if I’m not baptized or a member?

We welcome anyone who comes with a heart open to receiving communion, whether member or nonmember, baptized or not.

Is the church accessible to wheelchairs?

We have a new metal ramp leading into the sanctuary and have removed pews at the back to provide space for two wheelchairs. Our downstairs fellowship hall is only accessible from the lower driveway, however. Bathrooms are accessible for smaller chairs only.
