Interfaith Activities

Newfields Community Church invites the Kensington community to share in our ongoing study of other faiths. Each study begins with 2-3 literacy classes in which we learn the basics of the faith and the ways to respect the house of worship which we’ll visit at the end of the study. The second class of the study provides the opportunity to listen and talk to a leader in that faith tradition. These classes are held on Thursdays 6:00-7:30 in the fellowship hall at the Newfields Community Church. Each unit will close with a visit to the specific house of faith and hopefully an opportunity to observe or participate in worship. The date of this will be determined by each faith tradition we are visiting. Study units this fall will be on Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Indigenous Religion.

In finishing up our latest unit on Buddhism , we have been invited to Aryaloka on Thursday July 25@ 6:00.  If you did not attend the literacy classes…still feel free to come and learn. We will tour the Temple and learn about the specific sacred items and practices in that space. We will also be led in a short meditation.  I am sure we all will be inspired and form new wonderful connections with one another as we learn of our faith brothers and sisters. Contact Rev. Sherry at or 603-828-5234 for more information on this visit.
